We built the barn on our property in 2007 to house a garden shop, rental Lodging and Jan’s Landscaping Services business. We opened our Blue Tulip Garden Boutique in July 2009—changing merchandise regularly, depending on the season—to offer customers a wide variety of unique Maine-made art, garden décor, handcrafted gifts and cards.
After 12 rewarding and successful years serving hundreds of customers annually, we closed our retail business at year-end 2020. Turning 77 and 75, respectively, in 2021, we decided we needed more free time to travel, see our children and 7 grandchildren, and experience more of the things we moved to Maine to enjoy.
Farm Stand Sales
Though we no longer have a retail shop or regular retail hours, we will continue to sell Jan’s vegetables, herbs and cut flower bouquets from June through late September from the farm stand on our property.
We invite customers to join us in our gardens throughout the growing season to select their own produce. There’s no better way to assure you that “just picked, right out of the garden” freshness!
If our flag is flying on our corner, please stop by our barn to select produce from what’s been recently picked.

- Beans, Beets, Broccoli
