COVID-19 UPDATE

With Covid-19 restrictions still in place, Jan and I have closed our Blue Tulip Garden Boutique, with no plans to reopen, and updated COVID-19 guidelines for our rental apartment as follows.

Blue Tulip Lodging

Effective March 3, 2021…

Residents of New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island are exempt from the Covid-19 testing and 14-day quarantining requirements because their states’ low Covid-19 positivity and case rates, as a percentage of their populations, are similar to Maine’s.

Visitors from all other states must meet either the Covid-19 test or quarantine requirement when traveling to Maine…unless they have recently had Covid-19 or received the injections needed to fully vaccinate them against Covid-19.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, Blue Tulip Lodging expects all guests coming from outside New England to complete a “Keep Maine Healthy” Certificate of Compliance (download PDF here) at the time they make their reservations.

Beginning May 1, 2021 and throughout the summer…

Residents of all states will automatically be exempt from any Maine travel requirement (Covid-19 testing, quarantining, vaccination) unless one or more states experiences a spike in cases of highly contagious Covid-19 variants. Should that occur, the Maine CDC will reinstate its testing or quarantine requirements for travelers to and from those states.

What you can expect from us…

As senior citizens in our mid-70s we are concerned about our own health and safety, and the safety of our guests. By March 31, 2021 we will both be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

We will inform all potential guests of the Maine CDC’s revised guidelines and will follow them when renting our apartment.

We will continue to fully clean and disinfect our apartment between guests—including all bedding, linens, furnishings and kitchenware.

Even though many people traveling to Maine will be fully vaccinated, we ask guests to:

  • Make sure they are symptom-free.
  • Wear face masks when speaking with us.
  • Practice good hand hygiene in our apartment, using the hand sanitizer and disinfectant provided.

Blue Tulip Landscaping

Since Jan can easily maintain a safe distance from customers while working in their yards and gardens, he will continue to accept landscaping jobs. Please call him at (301) 633-1207 if you would like to speak with him about working on your property.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at (207) 372-8102 or info@bluetulipmaine.com if you have questions, wish to place an order, or make a lodging reservation. Please take care and be safe.
